  5. Consume antioxidant- rich food which is found in fruits and vegetables. The best fruits are berries of all kinds, cherries, kiwi, oranges, plums, red grapes, prunes and raisins. The best vegetables are avocado, beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, corn, eggplant, onions and red bell pepper.
  6. Ten minute exercises improve the flow of oxygen and nutrients to brain tissue and will promote growth of brain cells.

3. Honey Benefits:

Parents seeking to give their children relief from upper respiratory infections common in winter might want to try buckwheat honey, a U.S. pediatrician reports. Dr. Michael Warren from Vanderbelt University found previous research showing buckwheat honey reduced bedtime cough symptoms in children by 47%.

 

4. Gout and sugar sweetened soft drinks

Drinking sugar sweetened soft drinks is strongly associated with an increase risk of Gout in men. The researchers at Vancouver General Hospital tracked 46,000 men age 40 and up with no history of Gout for 12 years, after 12 years the researchers documented 755 newly diagnosed cases of Gout.

 

5. Genetic Link Scene in Breast Cancer

A genetic mutation appears to link Hispanic, young African-American and Ashkenazi Jewish women to have the highest rate in breast cancer, a new study by researchers show at Stanford University School of medicine, and they made the survey and the results based on 3181 California cases. Ashkenazi Jewish woman with breast cancer were the highest rate.

 

6. Link between Asthma and Traffic

Asthma and traffic congestion may be hazardous combination for children. A study conducted in a town along the U.S.-Mexico border found that living near a high traffic area raises asthma symptoms, lowers lung function and generates greater airway inflammation. Emory University tells us these results are significant because the closer they are exposed to high traffic roads leads to chronic airway inflammation and reduction in lung function.

 

7. Post-Holiday Blues

Many suffer from the post-holiday blues in January making it the busiest time of the year for some U.S. mental health depression. Depression can be common because the excesses of the holiday’s. Overeating, overdrinking, overspending and another reason can be because of family gatherings that ignite old grudges or reminder of lost loved ones.

SUPER BOWL V.S. SUPER TUESDAY:

A poll released Friday suggests excitement in the United state is evenly split between Super Bowl Sunday and the Super Tuesday presidential Primary.

The Washington Post and ABC News telephone poll of 1000 adults found 40% are focusing their excitement on the football game and 37% are on the Primary. ( The other percent just want a reason to drink and play poker)
